Find a way OR make a way.
Good Morning Sister W.W.F.F.,
As those of you with children and Grandchildren know, school will be starting very soon, and things will go back to the more hectic scheduled . So as a rule that is when we forget about taking care of ourselves. Everyone needs something from us, so we don't take time to prepare, we don't take time to get our exercise in, we just don't seem to take time for ourselves. Then we pay for that when the scale does not move downward for us.
We may become discouraged, and our thinking becomes, ''oh well it won't be long until the holidays, so I'll just wait until the first of the year and then get back on track". Really not a good idea.
I think there is about another week before the life of a Mother gets back to being more hectic than it already is. So now, I think, would be a great time to begin planning. Make up some menu's or even cook some meals for yourself if your family does not eat the same as you do, and I really hope that is not the case, but if so, make you some meals, freeze them, and you will be ready when dinner time rolls around and you will be less likely to just grab whatever you can get your hands on first. Remember to have those ''emergency'' bags ready as well, and if the kiddo's are involved in sport or other after school stuff, carry a small cooler in the car and have water, fresh fruit, carrots, even some 1 or 2 point bars, for snacks, don't allow yourself to get so hungry that you just have to go through the drive thru at a fast food establishment.
It does take a while to get back in the routine (so I have been told) of the kids getting to bed on time and then getting up earlier. The important thing is to be prepared, and to make sure we work some time in there for ourselves. For all things to run smoothly we have to ''Find a way Or Make a way", and with the success I have seen from this group, I know it can be done.
Stay Strong
Much Love,
Joan
